About
Hi, I’m Song Vang.
I’m an Interactive designer and developer based out of Minneapolis, MN. I specialize in Web standards front-end development and Interactive Design. I have over 13 years experience in designing, building, and managing online experiences for large corporations, tightly knit social communities, and small businesses. Making experiences beautiful is something I strive for, but making them usable and accessible to everyone is just as important. I am avid supporter and advocate of responsible Web design, Web standards and accessibility guidelines.
I grew up in Iowa and Wisconsin but moved to California in the early 90s where I went to school and discovered my love for computers and the Internet. I worked for an Internet service provider for many years where I lent my skills and experience in Web design, Web development, and client/project management as a Creative Services Manager. I also designed, built, and ran several large community based sites garnering huge followings and support from the Asian community. I eventually found myself back in the Midwest in the early 2000s where I continue to consult, design, and build Web sites and help small and large businesses improve their online experiences through sound design, development, accessibility, and usability.
This site and blog is a place for me to share my online work and occasional postings on Web design/development techniques, tools, and news.
